I stock up at Joann's when it is 50% off, and use my additional 10% off card. I have probably used them all, but find an 80/20 or poly batting easier to hand-quilt than Warm and Nat. I still have several queen size of those, and 4 Fairfield 80/20 from Joann's plus a couple of Mountain Mist that I have had for several years and just not used yet. I am well-fixed for batting for a while!!

I use warm and natural and warm and white. Have used Hobbs 80/20 and it was fine, but normally like the warms the best.

I didn't set out to iron my batting, just to smooth some spots in the border before I added the binding. The Hobbs melted together slightly. No harm done, just a less than fluffy corner. I have pressed a very wrinkled poly batt, but I knew I was pressing batting, so I didn't have the iron on too high and I didn't set it all the way down. I like 80/20 okay if I preshrink it. Can you tell I'm the weirdo who isn't after the old fashioned look?

I've used both fusible batting and fusible fleece before. I didn't care for fusible batting --- the glue was not evenly spread on the batting causing a puckery, uneven surface. The fusible fleece was nice to use for some bags, but if I don't have it, I just use regular batting and spray baste.

I use fusible batting for my giant stuffed hounds. I fuse the muslin, batting and pieced fabric together before I cut out the various pattern pieces. I only have to use a couple of pins and once I iron the pieces after cutting I can assemble with very few pins and all the layers stay together.
