You can also cut leftover lightweight fusible into strips and use it instead of the tape.

I'm very impressed with how organized you are. I save my batting pieces also, larger pieces in one place and smaller bits in another, but I never seem to do anything with the smaller bits. I make mostly large quilts, and buy 90" W&N on the bolt, so almost always have to add something to get to the size I need. I wish JoAnn's sold wider W&N on the bolt!

my theory is I pay lots of good $$ for it, I am gonna use it. in quilts, pillows, small things, you name it. but anyway you look at it, it doesn't go to waste.

Come on over and we can do mine too.

I like the idea of the scarves out of flannel. May do that with some of my scraps and send them to Pine Ridge in the next box I send out.

I did the same thing yesterday...measured, folded and labeled all my odds and ends of batting. The smaller ones I zig-zagged together for potholders and coasters. Sure made a difference in the wire basket I use for that! I was pleasantly surprised at the number that could be used for baby quilts and my doll/mini quilts. I had been using my JoAnn coupons and getting 5 yards of Warm and Natural at a time when I had a little extra money. I had bags scattered here and there!! So I got one of those tubes that decorator fabric is rolled on....rolled on all the batting, covered it with an extra long pillowcase made of muslin and now it stands behind the door, ready when I need it.

I need to do the same with my scraps. I also just zig zag them together. Good idea for the skinny pieces for scarves for the homeless!! Good way to use left over flannel too!!
