I have two patterns that use small pieces of batting. So every once in a while, I cut up my scraps into circles for the reversible apple core quilt. The other one uses 8" squares. You do have to use all the same type, but that's not a problem for me, I mostly use the same brand and thickness of batting.

I make hot pads, doll blankets, place matts. You might google to see what else you can use these for. I usually just donate to Goodwill, as there are people looking for bargins to do their projects.

This is what I've been doing too, I'm using them in some charity quilt tops before I start on my new roll of batting.

You are wayyyyyy tooooo organized (LOL). I just sewed a bunch of strips and pieces together so I could cut them into 8 1/2 squares for 7 raggy quilts I am working on. However, I certainly didn't cut into strips and mark them - but like the idea. Thanks for sharing.

I have tried the tape and it works well. It could get a bit pricey though if you used it a great deal. Otherwise it's okay.
