my favorite quilt batting is Quilters Dream cotton or polyester depending on the project and I also use Hobbs 80 20 but I like a flatter quilt we were
told at a quilt meeting to be very careful with the bamboo batting as it does not hold up in the washings so I have not tried it

There was a thread here recently on Bamboo batting, with some thought provoking issues with it. Try Search, and read up on them. I have used silk batting in a jacket, and it is absolutely divine - makes a really luxurious garment, but I wouldn't use it for a bed quilt - I think it really deserves silk fabric too, and that wouldn't stand up to the wear so well, would it.
