I love EPP (english paper piecing), but often change it up from the traditional Grandmothers Flower garden layout. I decided to go Modern and arrange color families in what will look like zig zag rows. So with a selection of purples I'll do a purple zig zag, then move on to red, or blue or yellow - you get the idea. The only thing I can't decide is what size hexagons to use. Torn between 1 1/2" and 2". I could do 1" as well. I've worked with them all and love all the sizes.
If you wanted contemporary or modern looking, what size hexi's would you use?

I would figure out the about of peaks and throughs you are going to get in the size you are making with the 2 inch, then see of that will be zagg-y enough for you. I inches will give you a lot more if I am thinking correctly!
