I'd heard about the Bendable Bright Light in my quilting class, and thought I had to have it. It was pretty pricey, about $50. It is an LED light, has a plug, no batteries required. The light is SO BRIGHT, I would recommend it to everyone. It attaches to your machine, and you can direct the light anywhere you want. I found it online for $27.95, about half the MSRP. I just love it!

Harbor Freight has something similar for under $10. My son is supposed to be picking up one for me because one of my vintage machines has no light. I may just order it online.

Here's where I got mine, 26.99

You can get additional base kits so you can move it from machine to machine.
I love it!!

I got it from www.quilting-warehouse.com but just saw it at http://www.sewforless.com/item/Benda..._Machines/7436 for 24.99 Wish I'd know about Harbor Freight when I bought it!

I found a knock off at Walmart a while back for $10. It is very bright and I can direct it where I need it.

I got one too, from my quilt instructor who gets quilt supplies at discounted prices, I think I got it for $25 but it has been awhile.

I really really really like mine, even with a big goose neck Ott lite behind my shoulder, that bright lite is wonderful bent down toward the needle for better viewing.
