I just picked up my Bernina 1530 yesterday. I am able to get my sewing machine serviced thru the local quilt shop by a retired Bernina technician. My friend drove me there along with her disabled son (in a wheel chair). Of course, it was 101 and the A/C in the van quit working so I just paid and was out of there as quick as possible. When I plugged and turned on my sewing machine early this morning (need to quilt a table runner), it appears to be in test mode. Does anyone know HOW to exit this program?? I have had this machine serviced many times during the last 18 years but I have NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM ???? I contacted thru email a Bernina Technician but he could NOT help me. There are no Dealerships where I live. I have Google but there isn't a phone number to call.
I would appreciate any help!! THANKS !!! I feel stuck up the creek without a paddle !!! :?: :?: :?:

I called my bernina dealer, she thought there was a glitch in the software and if turning it off and back on does not clear it that it needs a hospital visit.
maybe unplug it completley and let it sit for a spell before turning it back on. and check all the connections .
I looked in my manual and seen nothing to this.
good luck

there is a service called justanswer.com where you can ask anything. You enter category and ask if they resolve the issue it's $38. I was able to fix my viking via an online viking technician. He spent 2 days looking up what I needed to do to repair somehting in a 1960's viking that was making it run as soon as plugged it. It's really a great service. I used it for a plumbing issue once also.

THANKS for all the great advice. I was FINALLY able to talk to a Bernina dealership and it definitely needs to go back into the shop to be taken out of "SERVICE MODE". Just another bump in the road. Just WHAT I really didn't need today. THANKS AGAIN !!!
