Default Bernina BSR and getting practice!

I just did some FMQ with the BSR on #2 and I back my speed up to half way and you know what, I did much better. I also used white chalk to mark the stippling and followed my marks as close as I could. It is not perfect but I jumped in again and I will not be so hesitant now.

Well done! I started with my BSR and now can even do a decent job without it now.

Like Tartan I began with my BSR but now just jump in and go. I have had a gap with out quilting so will need a practice before sewing again to get my hand in.

Yes, when you are first starting out doing FMQ, I find it easier to follow a line. My Bernina is too old for a BSR so I have never tried one. Practice does make perfect.

I love the BSR. Good for you for figuring it out with the speed. When I first started using it, I went top speed where there was constant beeping and non-regulated stitches because the BSR couldn't keep up. It works much better to reduce the speed. Also a Bernina rep told me that #2 was better for swirly and circular designs, which are what I like to do.
