Is it just me or is the word "scissors" in the title clickable, and leads to ebay? Is it the board (I've never had this happen anywhere else) or do I have some kind of malware on my computer?

Oh weird-the same word is clickable in my post even though I didn't make it that way. Something is up.

Same on my phone so it's not on my end. Sneaky advertising!

Gale, it's not a QB feature. I assume you're using Google Chrome or IE. It doesn't show up for me in Firefox, but it does in Chrome. It's for that reason I use Firefox as my browser & DuckDuckGo as my search engine -- to cut down on all the tracking and data collection that goes on so many places online these days. It was creeping me out when my iPhone would send me an instant coupon as I walked past certain stores, or my browser would hyperlink to merchants in the middle of an otherwise decent little article.

It happens on my phone too. I don't use chrome on it. Only dolphin, and it's never happened at any other site I've been on with my pc or my phone. My phone is a rooted android so my apps use the least possible amount of permissions and I have notifications and location turned off.

eta: it's happening with firefox too (on my pc). Just checked.

I really like my Kay Buckley scissors. They have a serrated edge and cut to a really sharp point. I also have Ginghers but find the large size too heavy. Fiscars do the job quite well and they are inexpensive.

I'm a Gingers person too... have many pairs. It does make a big difference in quality where your Gingers were made. The best are chrome from Italy. I also have some made in Brazil and the quality is quite below the Italian ones. I have about three pairs out that I use, and others hidden away for later! Since the Italian ones were getting more scarce, I started collecting a 'future supply' of them (aka: hoarding!).

I also have a pair of Mundials made in Brazil, and except for the tiny embossed name on the blade, they are identical to the Gingers made in Brazil. Probably made at the same factory and then embossed for the different companies.

I have a mixture of makes and use all for sewing. I find I loose the sharpness very quickly on embroidery scissors no matter which make.

im picking up eBay when using chrome.
