Default Which is the best ruler?

Hi, my guild does a BOM in which a lot of the EQ7 designs require the blocks be cut in the 3 7/8" squares. As best I try, none of my rulers have a clear definitive 7/8" mark on them. Which is the best ruler to show this 7/8" mark?
Thanks
NormaBeth

I like the Creative Grids rulers. I have them in two lengths. They do have clear 1/8" markings.

But for the most part, if I need to cut 3 7/8" squares which will be cut into half square triangles, I will just cut them at 4" and then trim the units down at the same time I cut off the dog ears.

Some people cut 4 inches and then cut the bllock down to size. Maybe a 3 1/2 square.

This is what I use for my HSt's and QST's. I cut bigger and then trim to size. However, I do have a nicely marked 4" x 8" Omnigrid ruler that has 1/16th measurements. I also have a 6" x 12" Guidelines for Quilting ruler that is 1/8" measurements. One of the BOM's I did requested we use the GfQ ruler and I loved it, esp with my hands.

I use the June Taylor Exact Eights ruler for cutting 3 7/8" squares. I do not like cutting anything that calls for eights. The June Taylor ruler has been a life saver for me! The ruler makes cutting eights both accurate and fast. With that ruler, I no longer dread cutting 3 7/8" squares.

I love my Creative Grid rulers. Have them in many sizes. I too would rather cut larger and square up perfectly. My FAVORITE "gadget" for this step is the BlocLoc half square triangle ruler. I use it every single time, and they are so perfect. The nice groove in them eliminates the rocking ruler.
