These may be best on potholders, table runners, aprons, items that do not get as much use as the bindings on a quilt do. It is the same principle as the binding you buy on a card, not a double thickness of fabric that is folded over....JMHO

I saw the demo too.
I dont like that it top stitches on both sides of binding. No stitch in the ditch.
