By now, many of you have ascertained that I am strange. Since you KNOW that, I will give you my opinion on this.

On quilt binding I always press the seam to one side. That is because I think it gives more stability to the part of the quilt that is actually handled the most.

I think of it in terms of not pulling stitches out of skin by spreading the skin. As someone prior to me stated, the seam is not folded against itself anyway, but is folded in half at an angle.

Strength, that is why I make the choice I do.
