I just got one of those circular sewing devices for my babylock from my DH for my birthday today. I have seen it used for drunkards path quilts by babylock on shows and their website. Has anyone else used this device for quilts and if so how and on what patterns

Never heard of it. I just learned how to sew the curves in drunkards path. I have three of them in the works.

For the piecing or for decorative stitching?

I have one for my Bernina and I've used it for decorative stitching (I don't embroider), either on a quilt top or on the quilt sandwich. It's a really cool attachment.

I don't see how it would work for piecing.

    Here's the Babylock equivalent.

Looks like it works exactly like the Bernina.

    eta -again:
Ah, okay, I get it now.
It's not really piecing - here's the Fons & Porter rendition:

A sort of sew DP. Nifty idea.

I got one for my Janome. i never thought of doing circular writing but may try that. i've just made a couple of blks so far. I need to find something better than the little cap that fits over the "tack" because it doesn't stay on well.
