Default Block For Hearts

I wish to make a quilt for a little girl using hearts, the colour theme requested is pink and purple, I would like a simple design, do you have any sugestions on a suitable block please?

(Not paper pieced or applique)

Here's an easy one, only squares and half-square triangles:

I also remember doing one in a Block-of-the-Month a few years ago the was flying geese units. One large one on the bottom (point down), two smaller ones on top (points up), and a plain strip through the center. It will be a cute baby quilt!

Look on Quilters Cache. She has every pattern you could possibly want.

One of my first quilts was a pattern called "Mended Hearts". The heart is fused applique, the blocks are individually quilted, then two are stacked together cut down the middle in a free form cut, switched with each other and sewn back together. If your interested send me a PM.

If you have a Hobby Lobby near you, check their fabrics. My HL has some pretty pink & purple heart fabric!
