Which block or pattern would be best for these quilts?
A friend has asked me to make quilts for her two children aged 4 and 6. We choses these two different groups of fabrics for the children but I'm struggling with how to show these off to their best advantage. My instinct is to go for a large block or panel because of the size of the picture frames in each fabric but which one has me stumped. Any advice greatly appreciated.

For the jungle creatures/tigers could you do a mason jars pattern? (A tiger in a jar is an amusingly startling image, to me...)
And for the space themed ones how about one of the attic windows with the picture behind the lattice (would look particularly cool for the planets fabric.)
Love Holice's quilt too!

You can do big block quilts made of one extremely large block (i.e. odd 9 patch) or 4 - 6 big blocks (15 - 18 inch blocks). Any variations of 9 patches, square in square, or stars that have large center blocks would make fast quilts.

I would do a 4 or 9 patch using 4" squares so the finished square is really large and then fussy cut the prints and alternate 4 patch and print, etc. I do this alot with smaller squares and a print for a baby quilt.
