I have the answer to this one and found it by sheer luck ,my daughter gave me a small box of chocolates called FERRERO collection holds nine chocolates.....when you have eaten the delights in the container they then fit the bobbin of my 830 perfectly I now have two them one for bobbinfil bobbins the other for sewing thread . Cathy
Plus, I bet your bobbins smell wonderful!

Sorry about the drawing. This is one I saw a few days ago. It can be adapted to anything. I would make each upright to hold no more than 5 , so not a great deal of pulling off. Size of dowel to fit bobbin. Could have different sizes o each block. Could find I'm sure othe uprights even nails .

I use toe separators sold for holding your toes apart when you paint your toenails, buy them in the £1 shop(dollar tree for us) and store them in a shallow drawer so that I can see the colour of the threads

Does the 830 use the M size bobbins? I've got one of the rubber doughnuts like I do for my regular (L) bobbins, but periodically one squeaks out of it. It definitely holds the smaller bobbins more securely.

That's how I bought mine but you can't see the color in the bobbins without opening up the tube.

I have a suggestion that works for me as I have many different size bobbins, I get an extra soda straw when I buy a drink and when I get home I place it on a dowel on my thread stand and put bobbins of each size on the straw, can see all of the colors and know what machine they go with as I have a thread stand for cotton, embroidery, polyester.ect.

If you are wanting to store your bobbins in a drawer, cut thin strips of wood, to create a trough for your bobbins to stand on edge, so you can see the colour of thread. BEcause I do not have a full row, I put a bobbin sits in flat and up tight to prevent the standing ones from falling over.

I'm assuming you mean 830, not 820. The 830 bobbins have metal on one side that the machine reads. These bobbins need to be stored so the metal isn't scratched and worn off. The donut shapped bobbin holders are made in a larger size to fit the 830 bobbins. The Fresno, ca Bernina dealer, Sierra Fiber Arts, carries them.
My 830 came with a plastic box that fits them. I think I'll cut disks of cotton batting to fit between them.
