bobbin winder

that one would be perfect if it had sensors to stop the winder. I use enough different weights of thread that counting revolutions is not very meaningful to know when the bobbin is full. I bought a generic type (amazon) and it won't wind a class 15 bobbin, as it keeps wanting to go back down before it gets to the top of the bobbin. I'm not all that happy with it so still looking for something else. I love the one that came with my HQ, but it's out with the LA so not practicable to use for winding bobbins for other machines. I've never tried winding anything but the class M on it - don't know if it would work.
I really want a bobbin winder I don't have to watch

The information says the auto stop is based on number of revolutions, and how many it takes to fill the bobbin will be dependent on the thread weight plus bobbin size - so if you use a 60wt and set your stop setting, and then use that setting for a 40 wt thread, one would expect you'll have problems.
I'd buy this in a heartbeat if it weren't for that. I need about 6 settings since I would use it for two machines with three common thread weights.

it arrived set for a different size to what i used.
it was super-easy to change the setting using the enclosed directions.
you can create two different settings, so you could set for at least two of the weights you use most often.
unless you only wind one bobbin at a time, it would take just a few seconds to reset if you use more than two weights of thread routinely.
it's certainly a lot easier to learn and use than the other "commercial grade" winder i have.
since i have started using threads for which i cannot find prewound bobbins, i think i am going to be very happy with it.
it will take no time at all to wind a box of 25 bobbins from the large cones i buy.
