    bom fabric requirements

I am going try Pat Sloan's free BOM for 2015. My question is when yardage is given for fabrics, if it calls for a yard does it have to be one piece? For the border, it states that the yardage given will yield border that is not pieced. Otherwise, it is a mystery quilt so cutting directions will be given each month. Thanks for your help.

I would look at how the fabric is cut. If you need a certain number of strips it might be necessary to have in one piece but if its something like applique you might not need it like that

Could you email or post a question on the website asking exactly that?

I don't think I can access that information, but I will ask. It would be helpful to know. Happy New Year.
