I normally like a border arrangement that goes from light to dark, but, in this case, I think the dark small border really frames the quilt nicely and the larger light border works for the outside. Leave both out and every time you walk into room, see which one grabs you - that is the one you prefer.

The first one gives a finished neat appearance, and the second almost asks for something else. IMHO.

I like the dark inner border with the wider lighter border.

I would audition one of the darker fabrics first then the white and then a darker fabric! Would love to see that combination.

I like the first one, but my first choice would be using the lighter border fabric for the binding.

The first one is great it brightens it up. The second on dulls it down makes it dark looking
