Inner cream border with a black border: artistic masterpieces are usually framed before they are hung on walls. Your quilt is definitely a masterpiece. I say go for it.

I think borders are what frames the quilt, I like your idea. Try auditioning it next to the top.

I would say, no border - it's beautiful as is! I do believe a black binding would set it off very nicely.

when I am not sure about a border or have 2 borders in mind, I pin them up on opposite sides of the quilt. Then leave them up. Each time I walk into the room, I note which side makes me happier. Usually it only takes a short time before you know which one to use.

I like borders and the idea of a cream then a black one would be really nice. That said I can appreciate the idea that it doesn't need one! Nice design and "work".

Just downloaded for a Black & White quilt!

I agree with your proposed plan. Remember, it's all personal preference and what you like.

Yes! A border would be a great frame for your work of art!

I agree w/QuiltE, and think a pop of color (perhaps a skinny red strip) would look good in the first border, black/white print second border and black binding. Just beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
