I maybe the only one who thinks this ..but..I think borders make the center piece which is the quilt..stand out..and draws attention to the art work of the quilt..I would leave the black and add a border or two..

I think it is great w/o the border. Very nice scrappy!!! As you may guess, I am a scrappy quilt lover.

What a beautiful quilt! I've been spending a lot of time lately looking at Churn Dash quilt pictues, as it's on my short list of next quilts. Yours is beautiful!

I would make a very narrow border to match the strip of sashing. This will make it look like it does now, but I think that is your backing sticking out, I am not sure if your binding would be as wide as the sashing strips. So IMHO, I would border to match the sashing and bind in the same color as the border.
