Default Border Opinions

I need your opinion on the border pattern. The inside of the quilt is being done with stars, holly, berries and a wavy ribbon. The border will need something that is 5" to 6" wide. I'm the type of person that can't draw a straight line with a ruler so freehanding a design is completely out. I have a stencil in a feather pattern that would fit perfectly but not sure if it will blend well with the other patterns. I've added a photo of the quilt and the stencil for you to see. What do you think? Thanks for your opinions and suggestions.

I think it is a lovely stencil. I would just add a few freehand holly leaves to the feather and a few ribbon tendrils every so often.

Do you mean to stitch a feather and then stitch a few holly leaves and then the feather again?

Not that it really matters, but are you hand or machine quilting? It's a lovely border stencil (in fact, I think I have that one!). I think it will work wonderfully with your other quilting motifs. Go for it!

Really like that stencil, would like to know what the number is or were you bought it. And think it would look great for the border.

I'm always a sucker for feathers, and that is a beautiful stencil!
Think angel wings... the feathers are perfect, no?

Your quilt is awesome! I love those fabrics. I like the feather stencil also. I'm curious as to where to find one like it. Very nice!!!

Here's a link to the feather stencil that's like mine. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Stencil-Quilt...-/380924744490 . And thinking of them as angel wings is a wonderful idea, Baloonatic.
