My DMIL is 87 and loves to embroider. I found some squares with the months on them for her to do and then quilt with one of her friends. After she finished them she gave them back saying she is burned out with quilting now.
I decided to make a double size quilt to use in the quest room that has a padded headboard, drapes and dust ruffle with the yellow print. I have joined the blocks, but have no idea what to do now. It is currently 39" x 52". Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Really nice quilt! IMHO - I would use the printed fabric as a border (maybe 6"??) so the border doesn't take away from the center. Then bind with the dark green - to frame it.

I also like the printed fabric for the border, but I think I would first put a 1 1/2" burgandy color (solid or tone on tone) and then maybe a 4" border of the print. It is lovely! The burgandy will frame it body nicely and give a small break between the border and the print in the center where they will touch

Thanks for the suggestions. I like the addition of a burgandy with the print, the green binding and the swag and bow quilting. Since I need a double and it is only 39 inches wide now, will that be too much print?

With the print boarder, the swag might be a bit much unless you just put a bit in 2 opposite corners---but I think the burgandy (try to match as close as possible the burgandy in the print) 1 or 1/2" finished first border and the 4" print border #2 with green binding would make it look stunning. Juat my opinion-I would like the swag all around it the border #2 wasn't a lovely print like you already have.

Thought you might like to see the finished quilt. Thanks for your help. Kay
