I think the border looks great. It's a perfect foil for the intense blue of the quilt. Lois

I like the border, it's a great combination for the main quilt. I'm not sure what you mean by heavy though? Are you asking if the border is too wide?

Because I asked for advice on a quilt I was designing, I realized that there really is a taste in quilts. Some really like their borders to be a frame others like it to blend into the quilt itself, this bias really determines the answer. If you want your quilt to be framed choose the darker if you want it to blend into the quilt match it to the interior. I really like the "frame" but each to their own.

The border works if you are trying to emphasize the orange and brown in the quilt. I think it makes the quilt feel a bit heavy but just depends on what you like. No quilt police here!

I agree that it ties the brown blocks in the main quilt together, otherwise they would seem odd. Keep it! Love the quilt.
