    A 3inch border I would quilt but if it was only 1inch I would leave and stitch in the ditch or as it comes out ditch hopping.

    I will quilt write the recipients name in the border and go with a made up design from there. It personalizes the quilt even more but if it's in a hospital, it's also easy to figure out who the owner is.
