This worked for me to stop the bouncing. I wedged a one inch round dowel rod underneath from floor to next to the shelf hinge. I used four of them. No bounce or wobble at all. DH said he could customize the dowels to fit flush next to the cabinet but it works like it is so I'm happy.

I haven't had a chance to sew much this week ... so much going on (and I'm a huge hockey fan, and the senators are doing absolutely AMAZING!)

My hubby did this for me too. He attached the shelf with metal brackets. they were almost the whole length of the shelf and my machine never bounced at all. maybe it's just that simple - stronger, metal brackets.
