I was nervous when I started my first Bow Tucks, but I went slow & I used the tutorial that is here on the board. It had pictures and that help me see what the directions were telling me to do. Now I've done about 14. I've given 1/2 of those away as gifts. I plan on making several more & getting in a craft show in the fall. Once you do one you will be hooked. And I'm fairly new to quilting & sewing. I know that you'll have fun once you get started. Be sure to post a picture of your Bow Tucks on the board.

You can go to ebay and type in the search box "bow tucks" and there are a lot of patterns for sale their. I got mine there but I can't remember who I bought it from. I paid $8.50 plus shipping. They have a purse pattern and a larger tote pattern.

I got mine at a local quilt shop. The fabric stores in my area didn't carry it. I got both the larger pattern & the mini. If you have a quilt shop close by give them a call and ask if they carry the pattern. I paid $9 for each pattern.

You Can Do It!!! It is easier to cut all the pieces at once, then sew the next day. I took some little post it notes and pinned the sizes on the pieces as I cut them. Then there was no confusion the next day when I started sewing. One fun thing I did was take a 2 inch piece leftover from cutting the tie and stitched it in the seam of the lining. I found a cute charm that said LOVE, added a larger jump ring to it and hooked it to the tab I created. I did that on the one for my daughter! I am going to put a tab inside my next one for hooking my keys on!

Just jump in and do it!! It can't be as bad as your fears.
