Best fabric paint and/or pens?
My current project is a pieced and appliquéd reproduction of an advertisement from the 1920s. I think the best way to handle the background stars and large lettering is paint. I have never used it and can't seem to find reviews for the best on amazon (which is where I find reviews for most everything). What are your favorite fabric paints: easy to use, permanent, other important factors?

Go to Dharmatrading.com and look at their fabric paints. I purchased a little tool from them that sort of looks like a tjanting. Instead of holding melted wax, it holds fabric paint and you can use it to draw very fine lines with the paint. I've used Jacquard paints and some of the others, whose names I am not recalling. Dharma's link is:

In addition to the products, there are great how-to pages. I've been buying from them for probably about 20 years now. Their service is good. The people who you speak with on the phone are both friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them for their products and info.
