I'm trying to find a walking foot online for the machine I got yesterday. I cannot find any specs info on the model to determine if it's low shank, high shank, straight shank, or whatever. Does this look familiar to anyone that owns a Brother machine?

It is a low shank foot. If it were a high shank the screw would be up higher. A slant shank looks totally different. My brothers are all low shank machines.

All you would have to do is take the foot in with you to a sewing machine shop & they would match you up with a walking foot. I do think it is a low shank also.

looks like they may have it here. i just googled 'walking foot for brother VX-809'. there were lots of results, so you may find it elsewhere. but it is specifically listed as a machine that this particular walking foot fits.

the price seems much better at the following site. also, if you scroll down to the bottom of this page, you'll see a handy little drawing that shows the difference in the feet and how they attach.
