I like to use appliqués on bibs. The stitching is not as dense. There are several sites with great designs. Planet appliqué, Appliqué for kids, just do a search.

Embroidery Library, Designs by sick and Embroidery Dk all have good designs. If you like applique try JU JUs

Have you ever tried Urban Threads? Very popular with the 20-somethings I do baby things for. Most of the young couples I sew for prefer a bit edgier designs than classic "pretty" baby things. Appliquégeek.com has some great geeky designs (video games, Dr. Who, anime, etc) designs, mostly appliqué but some filled designs too.

GiGi from Charming Stations has lots of baby bib and burp pad designs. She had the "Spit Happens" design someone spoke of.
