I think the butterfly button is cute. Just don't over do it and maybe keep them toward the edge so you will not sit on them

I agree with bearisgray because if your quilt is to be used you never know who might end up snuggling under it ,including possibly a baby. I do love your granddaughters quilt. It looks beautiful. :)

Yes, tell her to add the buttons if she wants ... it's her quilt. She has done a beautiful job on the quilt. How exciting to find a 14-year-old who wants to learn to quilt.
