Default To buy or not to buy

As you may have noticed the Accuquilt system is on sale (-$30). Is this a good deal? Do they usually have better deals in November or other times throughout the year? I'm probably looking to MAYBE fit the Big in my budget? Please advise... Thanks!

Last year they did the go big for $400 in Dec, but who knows if they will do that again. That was when I got mine and I LOVE it😀

I bought mine at full price and have never regretted it at all.

I was too cheap to buy an Acuquilt cutter; I bought a Fiskars Fuse for about half the price and haven't regretted it. If you're bargain hunting, that might be a good option for you. You have to fiddle a bit to figure out the right shims to use with the Accuquilt dies, but once you have it all dialed in you're set.

It's not big enough for the Acuquilt BIG dies, but it'll fit the baby and regular Go dies. Works great!

I didn't buy the big, and am okay with that. I just purchased my regular Go! and love it. I am not the best with rulers and rotary cutters. I always seem to be a hair off. And since I am not the best at quilting, the more accurate the cut, the better my things turn out. Yes, the dies are expensive, but the general overall shapes can be used a kazillion ways. Yes....kazillion. Trust me. Am an accountant LOL.

I'd look at what Big dies they have and if that is truly a necessity. I have heard they do some great deals on Black Friday ads, so unless you need it immediately, I might hold out another two months to see if you can get some "freebies" included or a better deal. Just my .02

Let us know how it goes!

The manual Go is the same price as the Fiskars last time I checked. I was given a Fiskars Fuse from my secret pal last year. I prefer my Go.

I would expect them to have a better sale than that between now and New Year's, so I would wait.

I thought about buying 4-5 years ago. After adding up the machine and dies, I figured I could cut my own.

I got my Go! on Craigslist along with some dies for about half. I would not be without it.
