I did that with some "quilting quotes" a few years ago!! Our guild had an "ugly fabric" challenge at our quilt show last year. So I used the ugly fabric as borders around the "quotes" and WON!!! LOL. Now you are going to make me find the pics and post them; arent you!!!
I am very gratefull for your suggestions. Shawnemily wrote the above and yes I would like to see your creation.

I bought it in Cornwall UK at a small quilt shop. It was the last one. It's made by Nutex and called Quilting Quips. I have searched for more on line and found it on Ebay here in Uk. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Nutex-Quilters...-/110625441581 I will let you know what I decide to do. Hope the link helps and maybe some of you can get some. We will have to show the finished projects and compare! Thank you all.

Lap quilt or pillows or wall hanging.

Split them up and make wall hangings for your entire house.

Where did you find that fabric? Impulse buy most of us would buy!

These are precious. I just ordered a set. Would be a cute wall hanging, pillows, tote bags, machine covers, framed seperately and hung in a group, little gifts for quilting friends. Thanks to whoever sent the site to buy them.

I bought some fabric that's similar, but more vintage quilter's. I think I'll make a couple of sewing machine covers with mine

Cute fabric. I would machine applique each block to different solid colored blocks and then put them together with a solid block inbetween each one.

I would use the squares as blocks with sashing between and then use the wording ad part of the backing. It doesn't look like there is enough room between the lines to use it as inserts. :x
Let us know what you finally decide. I am sure it will be great.
