http://www.womenfolk.com/about/full.htm I googled Northwinds quilt pattern, and came up with this. I think it is what you are looking for, as ghostrider said. It is beautiful.

Part of the confusion may be because in some versions, Corn and Beans is actually the same as Northwind (though not on Quilters Cache).
This is Corn and Beans

This is Northwind, repeated and rotated

And this is Ocean Waves

Clear as mud, right? I'm in the northeast and I think maybe that's one reason I know the block as Northwind and not Corn and Beans. We call corn and beans succotash up here! :D

I don't know if this site will help, but you might find it here.

Good Luck :)

Hi, I do believe it is a lady of the lake. Possibly Nancy Martin, Trudie Hughes. It may also be from cuttin no triangles from a book of that name. Hope this helps

That looks like a Gai Perry pattern to me. Take a look at her books on watercolor quilting. I'll see if it's in the one I've got. :?:

I googled "quilt pattern 'waves'. " This what I came up with, it is not called waves here though. It is called Many Triangles. It looked like you pic to me any way.

http://www.quilterscache.com/M/ManyTrianglesBlock.html

I hope I did that right.

IF YOU HAVE OR CAN BORROW A "1-2-3 QUILT" CD, THE PATTERN YOU ARE LOOKING FOR IS THE 9 PATCH BLOCK CALLED NORTHWIND.
