I was about to sell them for 50 each but hubby say they are worth more. Is that to cheap? 2 are Queen size with tulips and one is patches that make white diamonds. They were my granny's look brand new. She kept them in a cedar chest. How can I post pictures?

Patterns often don't have much resale value.

One of the easiest things people do is take a picture with their phone, there is usually some sort of "share" option, send it to yourself in email.

Then, after you finish typing your post, you use the Go Advanced tab to get to where you add the photos.

It happens that with my locked down browser my options are not the same options other people have, especially when combined with my old digital camera and it's software.

My picture size is usually too big, that's the file size not the view of the picture. I use this limited but easy to use and does not set of my virus scanners site:

Once you click the download button, you can go to the Go Advanced options and download it directly from your download folder.

It's not clear whether you are talking about patterns or quilts, but either way a picture would help a lot.

BTW, a cedar chest is not necessarily a good place to keep quilts, unless they're separately wrapped in something to keep the acid from the wood from eating the fabric.

Oh my goodness, if they are quilts they are always worth more than 50 cents!

Please get us pictures if you can, and otherwise maybe you have a quilt store you can take them too, if they can't help you with general range they probably can refer you to someone who can.

Prices vary by region, and always by style and condition of the quilts. As Dunster said, you should probably at least put them in a pillow case if you keep them in a cedar chest. And no moth balls ever!

i bought this pattern and cannot make the starburst fit as there is nothing giving me the strip sizes can you please send them to me.. i have not been on here for a while as my hubby is very ill and doing dialysis 3 times a week much thanks pw6

Are they actual patterns or actual quilts? We're having a hard time figuring this out at this point. If patterns, they are worth what someone else is willing to pay...up to $5 is reasonable to me. If they are actual quilts they could be worth hundreds of dollars.

In our area, quilts go cheap. I paid $50.00 for a hand quilted quilt last year that was brand new. I bought a grandmother's flower garden quilt top for $35.00 that was hand appliqued and very well done. I guess what I am saying is that a very select few quilts would bring hundreds of dollars in the DFW area. Maybe the market is different in other areas.

Take your quilts to a quilt shop. You will get the best advice about the quality of the quilts, the name of the quilt pattern, and how a good ball park of sell price. The quilts must have meant a lot to your granny to be saved by her. Please rethink selling them. Are you sure they were made by her, could be her mother's or much older relative which would increase the value.

It depends on how you are selling them. At a garage sale, I'd expect to see them for $2.00. On Etsy or Ebay, they might be listed for $5.00. Most quilt patterns sell for about $10.00. However, there are numerous free patterns available, plus people can draft their own patterns. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of quilt patterns for sale on the internet. Most people only buy patterns for something they intend to make.

What you have is something your granny intended to make. Whether those patterns will catch someone's eye and be something they want to make is questionable. Depending on what you have, they could be worth $10.00 if someone really likes that pattern and wants to make that quilt. However, if they kind of like the pattern, they might make the quilt and it's cheap, they might buy it. Cheap, in my opinion is $2.00 or less. That is just my opinion, though.
