    That's what I thought too. I'm thinking it is a fused appliqué technique, not the actual piecing like the pattern says. If you enlarge the picture and look real close, it is pieced on one of the legs of the star, though only 2 fabrics are pieced.

    Even though the fabric shown at the beginning of the instructions is the same as what's in the star block, it sure doesn't seem to me, to be the correct instructions for sewing the block. I can see seams in the photo where there aren't seams in the directions. Plus I don't see seams where there are seams in the block. How does that work?
