Well......I did stick to my floor near the fridge.....but that's a quick wipe up! :) I also just learned I have an unplanned 5 days off. Thought I was going to have to work a day in the middle.....but yipee!!! Does the JanRN mean you are a nurse?? I recognize the work schedule if you are. :) Who else gets to work weekends and holidays on a regular basis?

Oh, but the board is good for you. Just think of all the ideas you will get while looking at other people's quilts.

I think there needs to be a 12 Step group for those like me who are addicted to this site!

"Hi, my name's Loretta... and I'm addicted to quiltingboard.com."

I know what you mean. I would rather quilt than clean house.

Clean house??? Not as long as we have this wonderful board. I go by the saying "If you complain about something being dirty or dusty, clean it yourself, and it won't be dirty/dusty anymore" (my hubby and 3 sons ALL know how to dust and mop!) LOL

OMG I'm so embarrassed. Patches was just licking something off the kitchen floor--who knows what it was but he seemed to like it. Oh well-that's one spot I won't have to wipe LOL.
Lori: yes I'm a nurse; 38 years of nursing and am semi-retired or so I planned. DH lost his job 2 weeks after I gave notice so I work as needed (which is about 30 hrs per week). So much for retirement!!

I'm an RN. My dept. is open M-F with weekends and holidays covered by "on-call"...so yes...I do call about every 4-5 weekends and have one "major" holiday call per year. July 3'rd is part of my "weekend call", I also was on-call Saturday of Easter weekend, and my holiday call is New Years Day 2011.

And BTW...July 3rd is our wedding anniversary! And I get to spend it on-call and most likely at work! :(

The joys of being a nurse...
