It is a very distracting site, especially when there are laborious chores or dilemmas to face, but this is also where I come when I am feeling down. It is my cybertonic.

To carolyn-That quilt that is your profile pic is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. So intricate. I love the colors. How long did it take you to make? How is it quilted?

I agree, I do spend too much time here, but since joining, I've become a better quilter. This place is better than any class I've ever taken. Also, I've slowed down and enjoy sewing more. And then, if I want to post a picture of my work, I want to make sure it's the best it can be.

I used to be surprised at the comments regarding how long people spent on this site, since I could whip through everything of interest in 15 minutes or so. Then I noticed the page 1 2 3 4 5 6 etc and realised I had only ever read the first page of each item! Now I also spend too long reading and too little stitching.

I really think that most of us are addicted to the board and quilting. I'm an early riser and since I found this board I very often stop first thing in the morning. I have my morning coffee with this board.

Once I got moved in my new place and got wireless, I was resorting to arising at 4:30a.m. and still, next thing I know it is 8:30. When I had rural dial-up, I just skimmed, now I dig in depth every morning. Can't miss a thing.

I read the post early in the morning like around 4:30 to 6AM while iam having my morning coffee, then go and sew Iam hand quilting a twin right now and then I'll sandwich the other twin. It's been a rough week for me we were without water for a week cause our water line froze coming from the storage tank and it took two days to thaw it out.

I agree, this board sure can become addictive. They should post a warning sign at the top of every daily update of recent topics we receive.

First thing I do in the morning - have my coffee and read the digest. I allot myself an hour for that enjoyment but you all know that I will not stick to the "hour" as I must read everything and look at all the pictures. It's a great early morning occupation (yes indeedy, I'm retired)!
