Donna, not everyone can open a .wps. It depends on what programs you have and which operating system. Most can open jpg, html etc. so I would suggest that be a consideration when leaving a file to be opened. It always is better to direct someone to the website and better for copyright issues.

If you read my first message I could not remember the website and had already copied as WP so could not save as a jpg. Also no copywrite at the website.

Donnarae:
I made the Cardinal and it was a fun block to make. I've decided that I WILL NOT be making it for Christmas cards.........the pieces would be so darned tiny it would would make me crazy (crazier than I already am). I love the block and will make it again. I think 3 cardinals on a table runner- each end Cardinal facing towards the point of the runner and the center block facing to the outside of the runner would be pretty. I might be posting another picture tomorrow!

Thanks for the pattern and for the pattern site. I purused the site and found a couple blocks I might like to try.

Wow, thats beautiful. And so fast. You are good! I am definitly making the blocks now. I want to do a wall hanging, but a table runner my mom would love. Oh how to deside  I am glad you like it. Let me know what you find for the cards. I love the idea and probably now will try to do the same. Maybe if going to use a cardinal applique would be better since like you said the pieces would be so small for a card.

Donna, I didn't remember you saying you couldn't remember the site. Any pattern printed on a site is covered by their copyright. My message was to inform, as is my job. You are not the only person who reads these posts. I do hope that others will understand about people not having the capability to read wps files. If there was a problem, I would have deleted the post, but my intent is to inform as many people as possible. For example, if you came up with a pattern and printed it on this site, you would have every right to claim copyrights if someone took that and claimed it as their own. It appears to me that copyright laws are broader than those dealing with patents.
On the internet, however, it is just good form to send someone to a site rather than print their pattern, whether they claim copyright or not. Most of these sites stay in business by number of hits. It allows them to continue offering free patterns.
I am sure I have made this clear as mud. But bear with me, I try.
