I know your pain I sliced a chunk off my index finger last year and still have no feeling. I had to go to the wound center for 9 weeks while they trimmed the skin and packed my wound. The next thing I purchased at Joann's was a cutting glove and don,t cut without it.

When I was learning to use a rotary cutter. I would jerk or something and cut away from the ruler. I messed some fabrics but not my fingers. I don't get in a hurry when I cut. I try to make sure my fingrs are away from the edge of the ruler. I hope I don't get lax.

Ouchies! I can feel your pain, been there myself. Fortunately I didn't have to go to the clinic and it healed up pretty well.

I don't understand anyone depending on luck to not have a bad accident with the rotary cutter. Why not make sure you won't?

oh my goodness . .. the irony!!

I am a careful cutter, without a glove (soon as i can afford one!) -- the worst I have done with my rotary is a nick (like a papercut) to my knuckle. The cutter jumped my ruler and flew! but, my other hand was well out of the way, and my reflexes like a cat!! (haha)

However, I did cut my hand terribly last year. Washing dishes!! UGH -- flawed glass, hurried 'washer' . . . hacked off my first knuckle. Would you believe it is growing back?! I was lucky not to have permanently damaged a tendon or nerve, but I'm even more careful cutting now . . . it is harder!

bummer to be hurt doing chores!!

;0)

Did that a couple of weeks ago, but not as bad as you did! But a nice piece off the old finger! It's the second time I did it and it was because I wasn't looking at what I was doing. Hope yours heals well.

I was cutting normally and suddenly felt something. I had placed my finger too close to the edge and luckily sliced off my false nail. No blood. So keep fingers out of the way.
Hope it heals quickly.
