Wow, I think you did a great job for your first one. I would starch and press. Hope that help and it is beautiful fabric.

Looks good so far. If you are experiencing puckering, as said previously, it is probably a bias edge. To help avoid this try heavy starch and don't pull when stitching.

How pretty! I find repeated pressing of seams helps with the puckering and bulging.
