I am with you here as the ones I brought were duller than my most dullest blade. I also brought a new Ofla, didn't help, so maybe I will try a cheap rotary to try with cheap blades, it might work. Laughing here. Good luck.

I have a self healing mat, after I have used it awhile, I get a dish of water with a squirt of dawn dish detergent. Take a soft brush and wash my mat (others put them in their bathtub). I get clean water (distilled) rinse the board. When it drys, I have a mat smoother which I use. Mat is like new and blades work like going through butter

Hey, you all, I did open another pack and turned my cutting mat over and this package is apparently o.k. I will use these up but I think I'll buy the others from now on. Some things work better for some than others. Thanks for letting me vent and also for you help. Happy quilting and should I say "cutting"

I have the same issue with olfa blades. I must have gotten a bad batch because two out of the five needed replacing almost immediately. I am going to order the harbor freight blades with my next paycheck.
