    Default chair for long arm

My low back has started bothering me when I stand for a period of time at the long arm. Any suggestions on a chair if they make such a thing for the long arm

i find that the answer for me is to just take frequent breaks. i could not get used to using a chair at the frame

instead of, or as a break from a chair, have you tried standing with one leg raised slightly? Place one leg on a thick phone book or other item about three inches thick. This helps a lot of folks with back problems - helps force the spine into alignment. Alternate legs periodically.

I have back problems, too, and for me, the pain is from bending forward and holding that position. So I try to keep the area I am working on close to the belly bar if I am working at the front of the machine, so I can remain very upright. If doing a pantograph, I try to remember not to lean forward. And when my back starts to hurt, I lay down until it's better. Working in spurts like that is what works for me.

Taking breaks helps me, to hard to move a chair along while I quilt.

I use a rolling office chair and alternate between sitting and standing. My frame is not height adjustable, and bending so I can see is hard on the back.
