I'm doing Moda Blockheads quilt 2018. I make a folder for the quilt and download the .pdfs. The patterns are numbered and named. I save by putting BH2 (27) and the name.

This was brought up on a Facebook quilt group. So many said it was unethical to change the pdf name to save on a personal computer because it took away from the designer. Really. One guess whose fan based that is. Of course I had to post a response to it. LOL

Yes, I change the name and put them in a separate library in iBooks.

    My solution, as well.

Another name changer here too. I sort them so they are in alpha order or by number sequence.

I'm with Dunster; I too change the names of pdf's and sometimes run them off; but I have probably wasted more paper and ink on things I too will never get around to making. Just not enough time and these people just keep coming up with patterns I just 'have' to make - sometime.

I remember when everyone respected the traditional pattern names. Now, it, seems, that folks use any old name that suits their fancy. I can't keep with all these "modern" changes. (Can you tell that I am old?)

I always rename mine so I can keep each block and BOM together.
