"What nickname do you want to use?"

doesn't make sense because if you're a member isn't that the name it uses? I seldom go in there so I'm not real sure how it all works

If you are not logged in with your member name, chat will ask you for a nickname.

That's how the troublemakers get in - Admin is working hard to correct the problems.

jstitch, it could also mean you were bumped and automatically reconnected. The board gremlins just love to steal what we type and bump folks off.
