I've made many over sized pot holders for hot dishes. I use two layers of batting with insulbrite in the middle. No hands, table, or counter will be ruined when heat using them. I do like QuiltingPandaBear. I turn and sew around the edge.

I came across this fast easy project...a fabric trinket/notion tray. There are many more tutorials online, but this is the one I used to make mine out of Christmas fabric.

How to make a fabric origami pouch
I made these gift pouches last year. they were made to hold little gifts for the women on my list. I also made one for the ornament swap I sent to. I like the size of them. They were very well received by all who got them.
