Quilted Christmas Ornament (No Sew). If you go yo YouTube they have an ornament that I think is easy and beautiful. You can really personalize it to each grandchild.

The pointy folded Christmas ornament is called the Pine Cone, I believe.

This idea is for a garland. My sister made yo yo's than sewed them together side to side, put a button in the center to hide the hole. She did these with fabric that was red with some white on it and white with some red on it alternating the yo yo's. It looks so stinking cute on the tree along with her little redwork ornaments and the 100 snowflakes I crocheted.

There are some really cute ideas here! I'm going to have to keep some in mind as gifts for my quilting friends.

I like that idea. Actually just the yoyo by itself with a button and maybe a sequin would make a cute ornament.

I have made bells using yo yo's in different sizes and putting a christmas bell on the bottom one, with some file folder
circle in the bottom one for stablility, and a ribbon on top for the loop; you can make Christmas trees two doing the
same thing with different greens for the top part and a gold start sewed on top with ribbon loop. I love homemade
christmas ornaments, I don't have many balls on my christmas tree. Our guild had ornament exchange several
years and many of those are gone now, love the memories.

Last year our family of four boys and spouses and girlfriends ages 14-29 painted blank ornaments from Hobby Lobby with acrylic paints we had left over from various projects over the years. Everyone had a great time and we came up with a few masterpieces, everything from traditional Christmas trees, landscapes, geometric shapes, and caricatures. The fun time spent together was even better than the keepsakes.
