This is always the tough part for me too. I have an app now that you can photo it and put a design on top. Or I use the standby of plastic to draw on it. Now I find which thread color also challenging as well.

This is a gorgeous quilt... I can't wait to see what you decide.

Love the colors. Also love all the others that were shared and all of the suggestions for designs. Thanks, everybody.

Great quilt. Squares or circles, it is going to be beautiful. If I have a choice, I pick circles but ultimately it will be your choice, so give the quilt a good hard look and just start sewing. A circle or a square will show up and you will know.

I made one from the same pattern. I quilted it diagonally across each block. It looks great!

What a beautiful job you've done! I'd opt for curved lines--a nice contrast to all those straight lines.

goodness!! Iraxy, I do appreciate the confidence you have in my creativity level, but I am pretty sure it is misplaced!! lol!! I need a *plan*!!

G'ma Kay, what are 'curls'?

I have it pinned completely, now. I picked out thread to match the back, and three colors that would match the front. My quilting isn't 'great' so I always try to have my thread 'hide'!! =)

Missed the sunday deadline, but I decided not to try. Don't want to be rushed or unhappy with a single stitch of this guy! (knocking ;0)

so far, I think I can do the single line fan in each square, and I think I could manage having the four corner circles meet in the center.

madamePurl, can you tell me more about that app? I am searching the appStore now! How lucky would I be if it were a free one?! )
