Default I also have the same problem

I also am partial to the Baptist fan, now my thought was what color thread? GOLD? RED? and would the fan look good on my quilt too?? I posted a pic with this post

I certainly think that it would suit yours and can't wait for the after photo

I cannot say how much I appreciate these pictures! Tartan, the line drawing is just amazing. what a simple way for me to 'grab' that idea, and understand it!! The winner is baptist fan, it looks like. Should I do Tartan's drawing in each individual rail square, or its set of four?

amazing quilts, ladies. I am awed to be advised by such talent!

I'm not sure about the quilting but wanted to say how beautiful your quilt is!

Jane, your quilt is incredible! Those tiny squares, wow! I don't think I would want red thread over those squares, I'd hate to 'see' the thread instead of your piecework, you know?

A current favorite quilting pattern for log cabin quilts is feathers that meander diagonally. How about considering a variation of that for your quilt? It would be stunning. Your quilt is really beautiful and the colors very nicely balanced.

I'm not sure how I would quilt it, but it's a beautiful quilt. Do whatever you like best and feel comfortable with. I know that's probably not much help, but for me - do what feels right. Looking forward to seeing the finished quilt.

You have done a wonderful job on it and your color choices are stunning. I like the idea of the baptist fan also, but there are other wavy or circular patterns you could use. Have fun with it and be sure to post the finished pic so we can all brag on you
