Default Classes available in other states

We sometimes travel for the winter, thru the southern states (southeast, central, southwest). Is there a way to find classes and/or retreats that I could attend? What are some of the superstores that I can check their calendars (Allbrands, Cathy's, others?)

I don't know about any of those. We don't have those here. I find the best classes and LQS. You might check with some of the stores in the areas you are going to be going to. Or you could ask here for references to LQS's in the areas you will be in.

Check for some of the larger quilt shows such as the AQS and Mancuso shows. The following site seems to list shows by state: https://www.quiltinghub.com/Find/Eve.../United-States

Many of the larger shows have classes with nationally and sometimes internationally famous teachers.

I, too, am looking forward to attending classes in other areas of the country as I travel. I am hoping there are LQS classes available to make my traveling more enjoyable.

I think your best bet is to ask at the Quilt Shops. Start with an updated list. I create my own. I like to work with Quilting Hub, it's online and not always accurate so call or check online before going out of your way to see a shop. Row by Row, is current shops but not all shops participate. So check other sources. Our best shop A&E Fabrics just started to participate this year. and Country Register, it's a little newspaper publication found at Quilt Shops.

Rob wants to fish Montana next fall, so I did a search for Montana Quilt Shop, then went through them one by one.
I have a request in for more info at Glacier Quilts.

I don't know what part of Montana you'll be in or where her shop is but Laura Heine who does the fabulous collage quilts and is a very good teacher has a shop in Billings. It might be worth checking out.
